(Nasdaq: ATGN), a leading provider of VoIP business phone systems and Unified Communications solutions for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs), including companies with multiple distributed locations, branch offices and call centers, reported its financial results for the fiscal 2008 first quarter ended December 31, 2007.Gilbert Hu, AltiGen’s CEO, said, “During the quarter, we made headway implementing our growth plan. While we posted quarterly revenue of $4.3 million, compared to $4.4 million reported for the same quarter last year, due to successful efforts to initiate our new software assurance program, we closed the quarter with record deferred revenue of $1.3 million, up from $565,000 at Sept. 30, 2007. Our software assurance program establishes a new recurring revenue stream while strengthening our customer relationships and creating additional sell-in opportunities. The ALTI-OFFICE3G-R1 has recently been enhanced and is now equipped with dual 460-watt power supplies and a new power cord setup.There are now two power cords used to power the chassis, although it will function normally with power to only one of the cords. This allows an additional level of redundancy in that the power source can be from two separate UPS supplies.Proper grounding is still a requirement.

AltiGen Communications Reports Third Quarter Fiscal 2007 Results

- Company Delivers Four Point Growth Plan -

FREMONT, Calif., July 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AltiGen Communications, Inc. , a leading manufacturer of VoIP telephony solutions, today reported its financial results for the fiscal 2007 third quarter and nine months ended June 30, 2007.

Gilbert Hu, chairman and CEO, stated, “This quarter’s revenue of $4.2 million increased slightly compared to last quarter, and we are very encouraged by the positive reception of our 5.1 release now available across our entire product line. The new version uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), is compatible with the MAX1000 launched in December and creates an affordable, scalable communications solution that is particularly attractive for multi-location small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs).”

Hu continued, “Last quarter, we added management resources and welcomed Jerry Fleming to our team. Jerry will focus on operations in the US and Europe, including investor relations, as I continue to lead AltiGen with specific focus on Asia.”
