Update:

On 11 January, 2008, we alerted LiveSecurity subscribers about a security flaw in Quicktime media player that could be exploited on Windows and Mac computers. We promised to update our alert when Apple released a patch for the issue. Today, Apple did just that.

A buffer overflow in the way Quicktime handles the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) made it possible for an attacker to execute code on a victim’s computer, if the victim opened the attacker’s maliciously-crafted RTSP file. Quicktime 7.4.1 fixes the issue.
