The release of AltiWare 5.2 introduced new licensing requirements for Enterprise Manager.
This document outlines a transitional pricing schedule to alleviate any potential pricing
problems you may incur with your outstanding proposals.
Upgrading customers from AltiWare 5.1 to AltiWare 5.2
AltiWare 5.1 customers can add the AltiWare 5.2 Enterprise license automatically andfree
‐of‐charge during the AltiWare 5.1 to AltiWare 5.2 upgrade & registration process.
The Software Assurance charge for the AltiWare 5.2 Enterprise Manager license hasbeen temporarily removed so your customers will not be required to any additional
subscription fees.
Important!
The Software Assurance fee for AltiWare Enterprise Manager 5.2 upgradelicenses will be added back on June 1, 2008.
New AltiWare 5.2 System Sales and 5.0 and Older Upgrades
AltiWare 5.2 pricing from distribution just became available. To further ease the transition into
a fee based Enterprise Manager model, AltiGen is giving all users a two month grace period on
the price change.
All new sales (and 5.0 and older upgrades) registered by 5/31/2008 qualify to receive
the Enterprise Manager license at no charge.
However, everything must be purchased and registered by May 31, 2008.
After May 31st, 2008:
All customers will be required to purchase AltiWare 5.2 Enterprise Manager licenses
All customers must pay the associated Software Assurance fees.
